E-TEAMS: a project to reduce distance learning

About the needs of the schools to implement distance learning, as we analyzed the existing information, we verified that the biggest challenges are:
  • How to adapt teaching methodologies and school subjects to the new technologies;
  • Students and teachers difficulties to access adequate means as computers, internet, cameras, etc;
  • Adaptation challenges of teaching ways directed to students with special education needs to distance learning;
  • Need to create new ways to engage and motivate students;
  • Bigger limitations at creating connection between student that promote well-being and school success.
In this line of thought, we want, with our webinar, to verify standards between the school community, getting results by making a survey to education professionals as teachers, trainers and school directors. This way, the checklist will be very important because it allows verifying students characteristics, in way to adapt the teaching ways and guidance to the most efficient method. This tool will support the vocational guidance process and prevent school dropouts. Nowadays, school a tour area already have some tools to support and prepare our students to choose wisely about their future, as educative fairs and employability fairs, open weeks at some schools with the goal to present the educational offer and vocational guidance through school psychologist and psychometric tests. The way to adapt these activities to our distance learning context is focused on the utilization, by school psychologist, of the online tools like, for example, Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Met. About the schools receptivity to our project, we consider that, based on previous experience, it will be positive and the tools that we gave by E-TEAMS will be useful and easy to adapt.
